Editorial Note: Path Forward recently contacted me about several returnship opportunities at a pharmaceutical company. These opportunities reminded me of the article that Michelle shared on our Facebook page about a program helping people in STEM fields return to work after a career break. Therefore, I invited Path Forward to share a guest post. Here, they highlight the mission of the organization and describe currently open positions. Please share this with your network.
Bridging the Gap: Return to Your Career in Pharma With Path Forward
About Path Forward
If you’re on a career break for caregiving, then you know that the prospect of restarting your career can seem daunting. Meet Path Forward - a non-profit organization on a mission to make returning to work easier. They create mid-career returnships for professionals who have taken time off for child care, self care, or care of a loved one. In fact, they’ve worked with more than 50 companies to create paid 16-week returnships. These provide returners with valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to refresh their skills. Thus, returners can make a smoother transition back into the workforce. In addition to the on-the-job learning and mentorship from managers and teammates, Path Forward also provides professional development workshops and 1:1 coaching that enables program participants to excel, grow, and build lasting careers.
Editorial note: Here is an excellent guest post on tips for how to return to work after a career break.
